As you may notice, Korg has released a USB-MIDI driver that supports Windows Update (V1903). This video showed me what to do, and I was up and running in 5 minutes! :(.
i've been dealing with this midi headache for over 2yrs. In my case, I added the Multi-String Value with data=ksthunk just as you suggested. Please enter the email address for your account. I am so glad I found keyman7's description, since I have exactly the same problem. If you have a USB/MIDI keyboard or controller that you would like to control using FL Studio, you will need to change some settings in the Input section. Connect any MIDI device to your computer: keyboards, controllers, instruments, sound cards, samplers, drum machines etc. You'll be notified as soon as this item is back IN STOCK. The keyboard is on when plugged into the computer, and my computer recognizes the keyboard and says it is working properly. uninstall anything they give, with ccleaner etc.

I bought some cheap little Midi to USB cable in the hopes that I could record my piano, but I can't figure out how to make it work. If you device is working you will see a message with data like below. is ksthunk.sys, which I think handles kernel streaming. Also, certain USB ports on your computer can function better than others. Just checked 5 channels simultaniously as inputs for instrument tracks in my DAW. Now I'm looking for a decent MIDI/ USB converter cable of good brand. Right-Click on the Start button and click on Device Manager option. As long as the device you are installing is a plug n' play USB Audio/MIDI device, this will work. and it works ! ANYBODY HOME?! Windows 10 won't detect my nanokontrol2. Yamaha MIDI Driver is shown in Control Panel/Sound, and it can be worked with there (opened, closed, configured, etc.).
